What caused the “Scrape” in the land in south central Wyoming?
In south central Wyoming, southeast of the towns of Eden and Farson, there is what I can only describe as a “huge scrape” in the land. It is approx 50 miles long and 2 miles wide. What is it and what caused it?

Considering that the “scrape” doesn’t appear to indent the land or rise up in a plateau, here’s my best guess:
I’ve been to Wyoming, and it’s barren country. The scrape might just be a line of darker colored vegetation (like sagebrush) in that one area. Why all the plants grow there, I don’t know. A wildfire might have also charred ground in that area, though it’s unlikely that it would remain that straight a line for as long as it did.
